I Have Worked on Transformation From Different Sides of the Table
Over more than 25 years, I have built technology, founded and operated businesses, led postgraduate programmes, worked in consulting and developed AI-enabled products.
That journey shapes how I work as an AI business transformation consultant. I understand the business problem, the technology behind possible solutions, the organisational change required to make them work, and the leadership capability needed to sustain them.

Experience Across Different Sides of Transformation
My career has moved through technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, consulting and AI product development. This breadth shapes how I work as a digital transformation consultant, with an understanding of both what technology can make possible and what it takes for organisations to turn that possibility into real business value.
Technology Foundations
I began in software engineering and international technology delivery. This gave me the technical foundation to understand systems, integration, automation and the practical realities behind technology implementation.
Entrepreneurship
I founded and operated technology ventures, built products, pursued customers and dealt directly with commercial and operating realities. It taught me to look at technology from the business owner’s side of the table.
Leadership & Higher Education
I led postgraduate programmes and taught strategy, innovation, technology and management within UK-validated higher education. This developed my ability to work with managers, challenge established thinking and help people understand and lead change.
Consulting & Transformation
My consulting work has involved business growth, market repositioning, operating challenges and technology-enabled change, connecting business priorities with practical change and execution.
AI Product Development
Today I remain hands-on with AI-enabled products, workflow automation and solution design. This keeps my consulting grounded in what can actually be built, tested and integrated into real business processes.
HOW I THINK
Business Problems Before Technology
I have worked with technology from several sides: as a developer, business owner, educator, consultant and hands-on product builder. That experience shapes how I work as an AI strategy consultant: I do not begin transformation conversations with technology.
I start with the business.
What is the organisation trying to achieve? Where is growth being constrained? Where are time, money or opportunities being lost? What is making work unnecessarily difficult for customers, employees or management?
Only then do I look at where AI, automation or other technology can create meaningful value.
The same applies to organisational change. A technically strong solution will achieve little if leaders don’t understand it, teams don’t adopt it, or the organisation isn’t ready to change how work gets done.
The starting point is always the business. Technology earns its place by creating value.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR CLIENTS
I Can Work Across the Business, Not Just the Technology
AI transformation rarely sits within one department. As an AI business consultant, I work across strategy, customers, operations, people, technology and management decisions while keeping the focus on business value.
My background allows me to move across these conversations and connect them with practical execution.
Commercial Perspective
I have built and operated businesses myself. I understand that transformation ultimately has to make commercial sense, not simply demonstrate technical possibility.
Technology Understanding
My foundation is in software engineering, and I remain close to AI, automation, integration and solution design. This helps me challenge assumptions and engage meaningfully with technical teams.
Leadership & Change
Years in management education and programme leadership have taught me how people understand change, where resistance develops and why leadership capability matters to execution.
From Idea to Action
I am comfortable moving from an early business problem through opportunity definition, solution thinking, prototyping and practical implementation pathways.
This allows me to have one conversation that connects the business opportunity, the people affected by it and the technology needed to make it work.
